The podcasts I listen to

This was posted elsewhere but I wanted to really create a copy so that I could come back to it again and again. If you are mad about podcasts like I am you definitely want to read further.

Without wasting any more time let me just paste things below. I'm copying it word to word because yeah lengthy means right ;)

---

I've recently discovered the world of podcast and needless to say I've been a big enthusiast since then. Listening to it also proves helpful during my long commutes particularly considering how crappy traffic discipline in my city tends to be. I'm so far preferring them over audio books as the latter requires more effort to follow while commuting.

It doesn't stop at his though, I was surprised to find some great podcasts in even something as technical as professional software engineering. (More on this later) So without any further ado let me start with the ones that I delight in listening to and I suggest you check these out as well. I did mix technical podcasts in between by the way. Here goes:

Planet Money : Covers economics in a refreshingly different manner.

Radiolab : Initially, I just wondered why there was such a hype surrounding this. But recently listening to an episode called La Mancha Screwjob I'm sold. And yes, the background score is without any doubt amazing.

Intelligence Squared : One word: debates. And that too on the pressing issues faced by the society by and large. They don't shy away from discussing even taboo topics.

Software Engineering : Recently came across this. I do think the emphasis is on the Java ecosystem and Enterprise systems.

5 minutes of JavaScript : Provides brief overview of the latest tools in the JavaScript world. Is nice to stay up-to-date on the talked about stuff.
